Meet Lori
I am a Licensed Athletic Trainer, certified since 2012, in the State of Colorado. My main role, throughout my career is to see a person with an injury/ailment through the process of healing and rehabilitation from Start-Middle-End. In a traditional athletic setting, I am on the sports field to see an injury, provide and evaluation and provide a prognosis to relay to other pertinent medical professional and initial emergent & non-emergent care. I am the same person this athlete sees everyday for mitigation of acute pain & limiting symptoms and begin the essential stages of injury/ailment rehabilitation. I continue with the same individual as they progress through their injury/ailment rehabilitation and prepare them for return to sport. I am also the person that, with Physician Approval, will see to it that the athlete is fully recovered and foundationally prepared to earn a status of Cleared For Return To Sport.
The career path of an Athletic Trainer has greatly expanded, over the years, as more opportunities of education have been made available. People are discovering that the skill set of an Athletic Trainer is widely transferable, from athlete to the general public. Athletic Trainers can be found in Physician’s offices, assistants to Physical Therapists, can be found in the Arts, and much more.
I, myself, have have worked in many different settings and now I want to bring my skills and knowledge to the masses. So many people tell me that they have been to the doctor for aches and pains and are handed some pills or told 'this is what happens with age'. I don’t believe this and I am confident that with my clinical skills, ability to identify incorrect movement patterns, and knowledge of Therapeutic Exercise Program design I can give people relief from pain and help them to move better and continue enjoying life.
